![]() ![]() It looks like I'm being extremely unlucky with my attemps to make the game work while on Linux Mint 20.1. Now you can access all the DLC content, regardless of which game you launch. All the necessary registry values will be automatically generated. ![]() Finally, launch the base game, then the DLCs.Alternatively, if you don't want to use protontricks, you can link the pfx directories of the DLCs to the pfx directory of the base game. ![]() replace all the directories of the game-specific prefix (in path like ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compactdata//pfx) with a link to the directory of the new wineprefix you created. The prefix directory will be created in a path like ~/.local/share/wineprefixes/ create a new wineprefix with protontricks. This allows the game to boot, but doesn't solve the underlying problem: these games should all run under the same wineprefix. This key is present by default in both 1730, which makes me think it's an issue with the game itself, and not with Proton. The issue of SPORE™ Creepy & Cute Parts Pack (17440) is easily fixed by adding a string value to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE → SOFTWARE → Wow6432node → Electronic Arts → SPORE called datadir with value Z:\mnt\windows\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Spore\Data\ (path to your Spore's Data dir). The data directory is missing or corrupt. SPORE™ Creepy & Cute Parts Pack (17440) refuses to launch though, also being a "DLC". It's more like a "DLC" or an extension pack released as a separate game. I REALLY want to play these games so i will try everything i can to get it working,so any solutions will be greatly appreciated. If i cant get them working i'll have to ask for a refund so i can go buy the disk versions. Also include SPORE™ Galactic Adventures (24720). Hallelujah, but my relief was short lived because galactic adventures opens up into the galaxy but the menu is white and glitchy and planets only show up as little dots with white boxes around them.Everytime i try to click on them the game crashes.also tried everything that i could find on the internet to no avail. So then i uninstalled CC,and installed galactic adventures pretty much the same way.but then i see no shortcut on the desktop,no icon in the games folder. So then i tried to run the game by clicking the SporeApp exe button to start it manually.nope, now it wants the frigin disc.keep in mind this is a downloaded version that i payed money for.many, many hours later,i am not even sure what i did, it runs. Later on i also noticed that the SPORE_BP1 folder has nothing in it.How is this even possible? I re-installed the game like 10 times, made sure i download them in the right order, made sure i had the correct patches, cleaning the reg and so much more i cant even remember.I am soooo frustrated i could through my computer out of the window.(this was before i even installed galactic adventures).still nothing, great way to spend a Friday morning. ![]() The second problem i encountered was that CC did not show up on spore.Like at all.I tried literally everything i could find on the internet. The normal spore downloaded and installed without a hitch, then i installed the newest patch and then i tried to install CC via origin.but i kept getting an error message saying that the game was not installed successfully and the system has not been modified(BOTH CC AND GA) Long story short i got the game to install by moving both setups to the electronic arts folder in program files and running them manually. Since then i had like problem after problem with the installation of both CC and GA. So a few days ago i bought both cute and cuddly as well as galactic adventures and of-course core spore on origin. ![]()
